I don't have anything special to release for ARRP this year, but seeing as how the spirit of the event is to "not develop in silence", I've decided to go ahead and "officially" announce the new Cogmind today.
I'm remaking the Cogmind 7DRL from last year. It's going to be bigger, better, and my first commercial game endeavor. There's a new devblog here (http://www.gridsagegames.com/blog/) and I'm... even on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/Cogmind) and Twitter (https://twitter.com/GridSageGames). Oh my.

Commercial? Nice.

Ah, at last the bold gambit spreads beyond that adoptive home that is the Bay12 games form topic or so! 8)

I wouldn't have spent as much time fixing up the original as I did if not for the Bay 12 community!
I'd rather not go the commercial route, but I can't justify the time expense if I can't make at least something off it. We'll see if it's popular enough. In any case, it will also mean I can give the game better production value. Might as well give it a shot.

Decided it was a good idea (http://www.gridsagegames.com/blog/2013/09/straight-source/) to pick up where 7DRL development left off rather than start from scratch. This means new features will come much faster.

Makes sense---better to re-purpose than reinvent the wheel in this case given the timetable and whatnot at play.
