Man, that looks like fun. I drove from NOLA to Hot Springs AK last Spring. Are you going to go a little further south from New Orleans to get into some bayou country?

I don't know, cause I won't have a lot of time (only 2 weeks for the whole trip).

Removing Kansas City & Wichita so that I'll have a bit more time in the other places- I'm planing on spending more than 1 day at New Orleans, St. Louis and maybe Austin.
