Cavern 2.0.3 has been released!
It's a roguelike for iOS platform that originally was released in 2009 and updated to 2.0 in 2013 with new graphics engine and support for iPad. For this week only, it's on $1.99 sale too.
Some highlights:
•Completely original adventure, not a port or based on source of any other roguelike
•Shops to buy equipment and sell treasure
•Three characters to play:
Fighter : strong melee character.
Adventurer : specialises in bows.
Mystic : uses wands and scrolls.
•Vintage game art by DeBray Bailey (aka. LostDragon tileset)
•16 randomly generated dungeons
•Over 40 different monsters
•Smooth animation with new graphics engine
•Randomized item attributes and special unique items.
•Online Highscores and ranking for each game played.
•Saves your exact game state when receiving call or switching to another app.
•Juicy sound effects.
•Permadeath (of course!)

Congrats on the return---I remember back when the likes of this, 100 Rogues, and a crawl port or so were just about all that was available in that space.

Thanks You!
Yes, Cavern was one of the first roguelikes on iPhone (along with RogueTouch and other rogue / nethack ports) though it got very little coverage - it's nice to hear that it was still found by true roguelike fans :)
Now that game engine was made more flexible in 2.0, there will be a lot of new game features added with upcoming updates.
