Title: Anyone play-The Pit?
Post by: deathknight1728 on April 10, 2013, 07:39:12 PM
This game looks and sounds just awesome. I played through the tutorial and the movement/stat system is wicked cool. I might have to pick this up although I heard it is brutally hard. Heh.

Has anyone played this or managed to defeat the main mission of this game?

Do you mean "Sword of The Stars The Pit" by Kerberos?

If so: yeah I played through the demo, and enjoyed it -- but haven't played it again.  I think it's "hard" in the sense that there is a lot to learn about the secondary systems (like all the various crafting tools and recipes).  There is a lot of apparent depth to the game; for but some reason, I wasn't really compelled to replay it.

Certainly worth a look at the free demo, of course, and they clearly put a lot of work into it -- despite the clumsy name, I hope it's doing well :-)

Sword of the Stars: The Pit? Yeah, beaten that game every which way.
Only thing I'm still playing for is to finish my log (getting every last message/recipe/enemy variant/etc).

It's fun, but very VERY hard. Mainly because of the randomness of it. It's quite common to come across situations where you just can't win. Like when you can't find a new weapon to use. :p
