Title: 7DRL: Mosaic, a game of art and music
Post by: Darren Grey on March 18, 2013, 04:45:18 PM
Announced in other channels last night, but now I've finally had some sleep I feel I should post here too...

Mosaic is a roguelike where you manipulate the map with your movements.  Moving on slate lays down mosaic tiles, and if you surround an area in tiles it will fill in the whole area, killing any enemies within.  The game also produces music on the fly based on the positions of tiles on the map.  It's pretty funky!

Been playing some other games since - there's some really great stuff this year!

Oh man, this one's epic. Definitely one of the best 7DRLs I've played.
Although I regularly get mah butt kicked (figuring out all of the special moves takes its time), it's lots of fun and aesthetically awesome.

And now we have a post-7DRL release:

Many tweaks to balance and monster behaviour, and made the music engine less painful to people with taste in music (silly fussy people). Feedback is greatly appreciated, as I may be making further updates in future depending on how people find the balance.
