Title: 'Directed Interactive Adventure'
Post by: Shaggy on October 19, 2012, 10:08:57 PM
So I was over at Squidi, a site full of fun game mechanics, when I stumbled upon this one.

I was thinking about starting this type of project, because I love programming interactive adventures! But it really relies on participation by at least a decent number of people. Would anyone be interested in this? I could throw something small (5-10 rooms?) within the next few hours before I go to work.

I really do like this idea. But right now I'm setting up on a new laptop, and I'm having trouble getting things running. Give me a day or two to get everything set up and I'll come back to the idea.

The main concern is it would require at least 3-5 people that wanted to play, and the 'updates' would have to conform to my work schedule.

Really cool idea! Probably only works for a text based game, but still very cool.

Yeah, that was my plan was to do an oldschool-style 'text adventure'.  If a couple more people are interested, I'll start thinking about a small-setting story and see what I can do.

Let us know if you did this already. This sounds really interesting.
