Do you know pixeljam.com games?

I love them! I had lots of fun with Dino Run, Mountain Maniac and Gamma Bros.. and those guys are very good pixel artists.

I was a mod on their forums a couple years ago, they don't seem to have made many new games recently.

  I like the art style. I feel that too many people do too much shading and shadowing on their sprites. When they are pretty low rez, like 16x16 sprites, the shading just blurs the image. I've seen people do shading on Oryx's 8x8 sprites and it just looks wrong.
