I have basically zilch artistic talent. I would be very appreciative of anyone with (hopefully a lot of) artistic talent if they could build an icon set for me. Basically in the usual icon sizes, 64x64, 128x128(?), 32x32, that kind of stuff. You would get a credit in my game (though it may not be out for a while) and a big thanks and virtual hug from me. Message me if interested, I will try to provide you with all the information you need to make it cool. Also, be open to criticism (more like constructive feedback), because I will be very particular. I won't be mean or flame, however.

How many icons are we talking about?

How many icons are we talking about?
One icon, but resized to the sizes computers use for their icons. I know Mac uses up to 128, and Windows uses something like 72(?). I was going to use it for my roguelike's icon.
I guess 'icon set' was a bit of a misnomer ::)

yeah, i'm up for it, what were you after? I could most probably create an icon in any style.
Ive got another blog for general design and image making - probably nothing there that's like what you're after but you could have a look if you wanted to check my artistic credentials. http://thomaswhetnall.blogspot.com/ (http://thomaswhetnall.blogspot.com/)

Thanks! I'm not too concerned about your credentials or anything, what I need is really simple, but between what I've seen on eight2empire and your other blog, I think you can do exactly what I would need. I'll send you a message with more detailed instructions. I don't want to tell you how to do your job, but there are some things I am going to be very particular about.
