I forgot to flip from W to E on the LONG, so I ended up in the North Sea instead of Oslo. :(

You almost drown, but it is fixed.

Also, please add a link to your roguelike projects if you are a roguedev (If you dont have one, you can create a roguebasin profile page.)

Maybe I shouldn't call myself a dev until I've got something I'd like to show the world. :)

Truth is the RL is mostly in my head still, I've got some basic code down, but nothing close to playable (aprox step 3.5 of 15 if you use the 15 step guide as a measure :P).

Crikey, I didn't know I lived in the Outback! Damn dingo got my baby! ;D

Good job, but things are a little out of place. ;)

*Corremn is as dry as a dead dingo's donger!

The map thinks my website is "http://www.roguetemple.com/map/nate.clockwatch.info".  It should be "nate.clockwatch.info".  Maybe it needs the "http://" at the start.

The southern hemisphere needs some work. I must tweak it out a bit :P for now as long as we have the right coordinates it can be fixed.

also, yeah, http:// is needed

I also saved Mario Lassnig from the cold Atlantic waters

Nice map. I only looked at it just now. Apart from Yorak of Finland being in Iceland, I don't see any glitches. It is interesting to see how "roguelike people" are distributed geographically. I am in Germany, myself.

As always,

Thanks.

I will take note of this for a possible future geographical correction.

ALso, I dont see you in the map :P

Hrrm, I put myself in Sydney, Australia, but it's showing me much further north than that... I think something's up with your projection.

Also, in the field that says "Projects / favourite games", I put one of each... but now the page seems to be suggesting I work on nethack. I guess change that to just "Torch" :)

26° 12′ 16″ S, 28° 2′ 44″ E

But I don't see myself with the lions in darkest africa...

Dirk Kok
Johannesburg

I see I'm on the map. Expected to be a bit more south. I think I'm in botswana or angola now. Unless I read the scale wrong.

Thanks anyway. Looks great.

Cthulhu should be moved to Latitude 47° 9' S, Longitude 126° 43' W (http://www.neilgaiman.com/p/Cool_Stuff/Short_Stories/I_Cthulhu).  And putting Him in the country of Micronesia is wrong, but He doesn't really belong in any country.

I missplaced myself in the map :D I should be in finland but somehow i managed to place myself to liethuan...

@merc, I fixed you. You provided wrong coordinates :P

@cthulhu. The roguemap is not really well suited for cthulhu, I had to remove him for the sake of our 200 roguepeople.

May be soon, for the roguegalaxy...

Hi. I'm also sure I typed the right co-ordinates for my town which is Tromsø, Norway, but the mark is placed in Iceland. The towns co-ordinates from Wikipedia is 69°40′58″N 18°56′34″E.

Hey mate,
Just signed up today. Great site btw. Anyway, I've put in the wrong longitude, Adelaide is at  34,55 S, 138, 36E rather then
180, 36E as I've must of put it.  Names on it is Gordon Wellman, but its just floating off the tip off NZ. Cheers if you can fix it!

Can you change my website to nate879.org? nate.clockwatch.info is no longer active. Also, please change my "roguelike projects" from "TrapRogue, Unnamed" to "Downfall, RLLib".

It would be nice if there was a way to change these things myself, rather than posting this here.

I've somehow placed myself in the middle of the Sahara desert.  Should be in Manchester, England.  Got the co-ords from Wikipedia, but I guess I must have input them wrong somehow!

Slash, you've moved me from the middle of the Saharan desert to the middle of the southern Atlantic ocean!  Seems the E-W position is right, but on the other axis it should be about 53N on the northern hemisphere (full co-ords from Wikipedia: 53°28′0″N 2°14′0″W - pretty sure that's what I entered at the start!)

Y'know, not sure how feaible this would be, but perhaps a nice way of placing oneself on the map would be to have an image you can directly click on - would stop all these Brits swimming off the coast of France for instance  :)  A higher resolution map could also be nice for densely packed areas, but obviously would be harder to navigate overall.

I am stuffing up an expedition to your rescue, just a bit of patience :P

A way to edit your position is needed, although I dont think placing yourself by clicking on the map is a good idea (mainly because of accuracy, perhaps there will be a use for the geo data, some day :))

The map needs to be fixed a bit, I have already got the right program to do it (I may for example provide a higher resolution map)

I just mistyped my game's website domain as .net where it should say .com  Silly me :(

Also, I'm pretty sure there should be a watery gulf between Finland and Estonia, spanning all the way to Saint Petersburg in Russia. :P

I just fixed both.

Also, I know the current roguemundi is pretty inaccurate, specially for oceania, eastern europe and russia. I may replace it soon with something... better... :)

Hmm, I'm not sure what you did but it appears it didn't work as the address still is www.infiniverse-game.net and not www.infiniverse-game.com. Is there a considerable delay in the changes actually appearing? Or perhaps there was another address that confused you? I'm aave there at Helsinki, Finland, Northern Europe.

The roguemundi is currently down. I plan reviving it on 2014 (along with enabling people to edit their location probably, which will make this thread useless)
