Title: Rogue Basin registration problems

Several people have reported problems registering on RogueBasin - apparently there's no registration page any more.  Anyone know how to fix it?

I registered to these forums on suggestion from IRC that somebody here might know about this issue as well. It seems it is disabled, possibly due to spam? Somebody please let us know, as I want to be a contributor :(

There was heavy spam problem at Basin. Maybe they are reworking antispam filter?

There was a heavy spam problem, so I had to disable it... sadly haven't had time to work on it.

Anyone could provide a good solution for this? we had reCaptcha but it was beaten; if someone could provide a modified login script for mediawiki 1.16.5, it would be great. (With a simple question spambots don't know)

That's really weird. I have like tons of spam issues on my Wiki, and after installing ReCaptcha (efReCaptcha) i've had NO issues at all. I've also never heard of reCAPTCHA being beaten; it's regarded as one of the strongest text-based CAPTCHAs out there? Which extension are you using? I assume this one:

yep. we had same problem at RlgClub. robots breaking recapcha in no time. I was banning them half dozen per day.
But it was solved when admin put questions at registration.
Question about roguelikes. Obvious for fellow rogueliker. like who created Dungeon Crawl? What is the name of Biscup etc
It is beyond the ability of spam bot and if you don't know the answer for such simple question you are not needed at Basin.  ;) ;) ;)

I just registered. It all worked fine. I've updated the article about my game, put some redirects and links with other articles.
I was afraid it would be some tough roguelike question upon registering but it was e z p z  ;D

I tried registering before but when a saw I bit of spam, I thought that the forum would close. Now I am back and here to stay. ;)

Tons of junk users registering on roguebasin. I afraid that all of them are spam.
Maybe we should add some sort of DELETE category, so wiki useres can mark spap pages, so it wold be easier for moderators to remove it?
