Title: Warm weather
Post by: Krice on June 09, 2011, 03:03:31 PM
Last couple of days have been warm.. something like +25-30C. Like any eskimo I can't work in that temperature. It's too much for arctic region people. Looks like it's going to last this weekend and then it's time for thunderstorms, which usually follow the warm period. Can't work then either.. this is annoying.

Man, you should be out fishing somewhere, with a beer in your hand.

I on the other hand am looking out my office window on a "cold" winters day, about 15 degrees :) and watching the rabbits frolicking in the sun.  ( I also have sheep out my window, god they are dumb animals but so tasty!)

I need more curtains, sun is up almost 24/7 and heat (+25) is killing me. I hate you arctic circle.

You call +25C heat  ;D

On the other hand, I call +10 cold...  :-X

Government weather forecast says here we have right now a top temperature of +34º C.

The fact that you type "+25ºC" does say something.

What's up with you eXtreme northerners and roguelikes? ·__· ???

We had again couple of +30 days and the worst part is that humidity was quite high so it makes it worse. Now it's +16 and it's more like what a normal hot day used to be. It's funny that I hate these warm days even the winter is much longer than summer in arctic region.

We getting +37 consistently here, but after years of living in this weather without A/C, I'm so skinny now it doesn't bother me--not sure if this is good or bad  :-\

Are you taiwanese or just live there? That's pretty hot, it must be somewhat tropical climate. For me it's bad enough to have couple of days in summer +25-30. Rest of the year is much colder and we like it that way, we eskimos.

Taiwanese, but not by blood, and haven't been here forever. Funny how I've switched from enjoying the cold to fearing it over the past couple decades. Subtropical heat here is usually pretty crappy in the summer when it's humid, but this year is a first--it's surprisingly dry and more bearable than usual.

It's colder now, around +10. Last night was unusually warm, +15 which I guess caused one of the last thunderstorms of the year. Luckily it produced only something we call elo-lightnings which means lightnings will strike from cloud to another cloud, not ground. Cold air somehow makes lightning work that way. That's also good news for electronic hardware which can be destroyed by ground lightning if you have them plugged in. I was just practising my.. mantra, and thought "ei nyt..." but when I saw that lights didn't momentarily go out when lightning strikes I realized they are elo-lightnings.

We've got a nice indian summer in Berlin. I'm mostly hanging around in parks with my kids whenever I'm not working or getting my daily 8 p.m. lobotomy.

As always,

It was 4C this morning. I think it takes couple of weeks before snow and winter starts. You know, I actually thought it could be nice to leave Finland and find some warm country. It's this cold weather. Forever cold. Only short summer reminding what a warm weather is.

I have noticed that warmer weather is better in a lot of aspects for me . I love the warmer weather as aposed to winter , I'm with you in that if I could I move to a warmer climate myself. I like you have FSHLGMD. Iwas diagnosed with this disesae in my late 20s when I was at college. According to my so called members there is no one who has this on either side. But if everything I read is true then this was inheritated from one or both of my parents . So I continue to deal with this disease for the most part on my own . I have a few good friends that watched how I have started to lose more mobility (going up ,down stairs unless there is a rail), not being able to pick things like I did a few years ago, or for that matter a few months ago. Even getting on the floor has now become next to impossible for me ,without taking for ever to get back up . The summer time is much easier even tho I don't sweat anymore , and my feet , and ankles swell  to enorous size .
