I'm the author of new roguelike game - Ignite. The game is still in a early stage of development, but it's now available for public test. The development goal is to make an interesting game with high replay value and randomness.

Ignite is currently developing. I’m trying to make it better every day. Current public version is 0.02 (31th may 2011). Next public version (0.03) will be available at first week of july.

Features of current version

System requirements
Currently game can be run on Windows with net framework 4.0 installed.
Trying to run it on linux (Open Suse and Ubuntu).

Hey man this was fun to play, keep up the good work. The only thing is that I wished there was a way to play this on linux, which is my primary machine.

As i know c# program could be compiled on linux using mono ... but i've never done this before ) i will try to make a linux version.

On man it will be so nice to have this on my dev workstation, so I can play it while taking a break from my own project (instead of rebooting into windows, which i never do except to play games that don't run in linux).  Let me know where I can post bugs so I can help you improve your game as I play it. I can also periodically post them here if you want.

Hi! I`ve released a new version of my roguelike - Ignite.

You can download it here (http://alexbard.org.ua/2012/ignite-0-040/). At the same place you will find detail changelog.

Short version of changelog:
* Big outdoor location is generated (with snow, grass, forestes, deserts, mountains ...)
* Big number of dungeons of various size and dificulty is generated
* Item system (rare items, magical enchantments, idenfification ...)
* Skill system (new skills and abilities, new way to raise your skills)
* 2 schools of magic (arcane and holy) with ~12 spells to cast
* 1 deity
* New resource - Fury (that will be used by melee fighters)
* Magic knowledge and ambustion mechanic to leard spells
* Potions and scrolls with 8 effects (more to come in next versions)
* and manymanymany bug fixes ;)

Hi! More than a month ago i've started a refactoring process of my project and now i'm developing almost new game. Right now no public beta version is available to play but there is going to be one soon. Right now i can show screenshot:

Wow... looking much different now, and much better :)

Are you getting a lot of performance issues with a smooth/dynamic lighting system like that?
