At first, I loved roguelikes such as Nethack, Adom, Omega, and such because they were so in depth and challenging that it gave a feeling of satisfaction when I reached a part of the game I hadn't yet been to. Now however, I find that my standards are changing. I would like to play many easy-medium difficulty roguelikes of short-medium length. The problem is, I am having trouble weeding out the ones worth playing from the ones I haven't. Here's a list of the ones I've played which match what I'm talking about.
A Quest Too Far
Ali Baba's Cave
Berserk!
Hydra Slayer
You Only Live Once
Do any of you have any roguelikes you could recommend which is along the same lines as those?

I also really like AQTF!
Try those:
DoomRL (http://doom.chaosforge.org/downloads)
DiabloRL (at http://forum.chaosforge.org/index.php?topic=3123.45 you can download the last beta)
Madness (http://students.mimuw.edu.pl/~pm262952/madness/ for the original game download or http://code.google.com/p/featurecreeper/ for FeatureCreeper, an later version made by another dev)

I see all of games mentioned so far, except DoomRL, are games from 7DRL challenges, something similar (shorter development time and/or out-of-challenge), or games evolved from these.
For the last 7DRL challenge, I just looked at Darren Grey's reviews (http://www.gruesomegames.com/blog/?p=45) and these RogueTemple reviews (http://www.roguetemple.com/7drl/2010/), and picked the games from there.
Unfortunately there are no such reviews for earlier challenges or out-of-challenge games (IIRC). My favorite earlier game is ChessRogue (http://roguebasin.roguelikedevelopment.org/index.php?title=ChessRogue) (the original 3DRL version, the author later extended the game and I liked it less). I also like You Only Live Once, but this has been already mentioned. Bone to the Wild was quite good. CalcRogue is quite good, although not a 7DRL.

Mage Guild (http://lukos.x10hosting.com/) is pretty short, though the difficulty is higher than most of the others posted here so far.

I love to play the difficult ones...They are quite challenging

Lost Labyrinth games are supposed to be pretty brisk I think.

Hi, I generally only play short roguelikes now-a-days and I generally write short ones :)
Here is a couple of my own which match your description.
SewerJacks - http://www.roguetemple.com/forums/index.php?topic=1324.0
Warlock of Firetop Mountain - http://roguebasin.roguelikedevelopment.org/index.php?title=Warlock_of_Firetop_Mountain
Also I play Stone Soup for kicks sometimes, the early levels could be used as a short coffee-break game.

If you want to go uber-brisk, there's also 'Desktop Dungeons', it's like Moria and Minesweeper had a baby.
It's @#&*!!! hard tho, yet somehow charming :)
