You're quick, you're good. Great work!

Tried the tutorial and it's great!
One problem occured: I fought the snakes (don't get surronded) and died, ressurected and then began from start-location again. Walked a few steps, the "melee combat" tutorial-screen appeared...then the game crashed.

Crashed or hung ?
If it hung it's probably that you tried to move while the dialog appeared, but this should be fixed in beta12b can you check that's what y'ouve got ?

Sorry for the late answer.
It hung, didn't crash. My bad.

In beta12b ?

In beta12b ?
Yes.

Is this using opengl or something? It was really slow in dual core athlon 4400+. But even without opengl support it shouldn't be that slow? The gameplay was quite boring. Didn't find the way to dungeons though, I was just fighting rats and trolls, three of them killed me when I ran out of healing potions.
I've got an idea too: how about quick start characters with typical skill etc. values already there? Just select from "brutal barbarian" or "nighthawk the wizard" and enter the name to play the game.

You can exit the initial forest immediately and there are plenty of other dungeons around. They're all generally a bit tougher though.
Game has a tendency to run slow on some computer, especially if your opengl drivers aren't up to date. Try disabling some of the graphical effects in the main menu.
