Title: Not a Roguelike really, but still: Recettear for PC
Post by: getter77 on July 19, 2010, 04:38:27 PM
http://www.carpefulgur.com/recettear/about.htm

Pretty much, an item shop managing/wheeling/dealing RPG with dangerous dungeon looting  sections with various traps, lots of variety, etc.

The original game is thusly being translated from Japanese to English and released for digital sale(they are trying to get on terms with the likes of Steam, Gamersgate, Impulse, and whatever else is out there that people use) by a small Indie outfit trying to make a name for themselves, with a free demo currently available and odds being the asking price will be somewhere in the neighborhood of $20.

Non-adult Japanese PC games are pretty rare compared to ones sourced from the Americas and Europe, and the game is looks to be rather full-featured and fleshed out to the point that is is somewhat amazing that the likes of Atlus never tried for some sort of console/handheld port.

Worth keeping an eye on chums!   8)

Oh, I didn't realize you had posted this before I did...

I shouldn't even bother, should I?
